Thank you for telling me I don’t have to fix myself, that You will.

Thank you for telling me I don’t have to understand why church is saying things it is, that You will explain.

Thank you for telling me I don’t have to choose the right road to be in Your will, that You will drive. 

Thank you for telling me I don’t have to defend your name, that You will. 

Thank you for telling me I don’t have to stop wanting a partner, that You will hold me. 

Thank you for telling me I don’t have to better myself, that You already love me. 

Thank you for telling me I am not a failure, but a beautiful artwork in process. 

Thank you for being so close when I didn’t see you.

Thank you for holding me in Your arms when I didn’t feel you.

Thank you for whispering to me when I didn’t hear you.

Thank you for protecting me when I thought I was safe.

Thank you for crying with me when I did.

Thank you for rejoicing with me when I did.

Thank you for talking to me when I did. 

You didn’t have to wait for me but You did. 

You didn’t have to forgive me but You did.

You didn’t have to love me but You did. 

Because you know me better than I know myself. 

Because you know the world better than I know myself. 

Because you know the heaven and hell better than I know myself. 

This is a humble, underrated, and unpolished letter to tell you how I feel,but I do mean every word of it. Last few weeks felt like a honey moon, that I am meeting You in a whole new way, different from how I have known You for all of my life. We had good times then, too, but, gosh, I wouldn’t trade it for what we have now. This freedom, joy, and romance. So, I thank You, even if I lose everything in this world, because You are who You are.
